Kefalonia, with size 781 square km, is the largest of the Ionian Islands. Its natural landscape is spectacular. High mountains, deep valleys, lots of caves, strange geological formations and natural phenomena.
We will pick you up from your resort at approximately 07:00a.m. and take you to St.Nickolas-Skinari port, where the ferry boat to Kefalonia departs at 09:00 in the morning. Pessada port will be reached at about 10:30a.m. From Pessada we travel to the St. Gerassimos Monastery, the Patron Saint of the island. Icons aged 500 years, the coffin with the relics of the Saint and many more are waiting for you. Underneath the church the cave where St. Gerassimos spent most of his life lays there.
After that, we head north through some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes, the Drogarati-Cave, which is famous for its stalactites and stalagmites. This cave has such perfect acoustic that Maria Kallas once used it to perform one of her many memorable concerts! From there we will visit Melissani Lake, which is found in a cave with an unusual open roof-dome. At noon the water of the lake reflects the sun, so you will be able to experience a wealth of nature’s colours while they row you through the cave by boats.
Next stop is St. Efimia, a romantic village next to the sea. We will stay there about one hour for lunch in a beautiful tavern next to the sea. After lunch we travel southwest towards the capital of Kefallonia, Argostoli. In Argostoli you will have time for a coffee, shopping or just a walk along the port. We will have a photo-stop above Myrtos Beach one of Kefalonias most beautiful beaches.

Our tour ends back in Pessada where the ferry boat is waiting for us to take us back to Zakynthos.
