Its natural landscape is spectacular. High mountains, deep valleys, lots of caves, strange geological formations and natural phenomena.<\/p><p class=\"spacerBottom20\">We will pick you up from your resort at approximately 07:00a.m. and take\u00a0you to St.Nickolas-Skinari port, where the ferry boat to Kefalonia departs at 09:00\u00a0in the morning.\u00a0Pessada port will be reached at about 10:30a.m. \u00a0From Pessada we travel to the\u00a0<strong>St.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Gerassimos\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Monastery<\/strong>, the Patron Saint of the island. Icons aged\u00a0500 years, the coffin with the relics of the Saint and many more are waiting for you. Underneath the church the cave where St. Gerassimos spent most of his life lays there.<\/p><p class=\"spacerBottom20\">After that,\u00a0we head north through some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes, the\u00a0<strong>Drogarati-Cave<\/strong>, which is famous for its stalactites and stalagmites. This cave has such perfect acoustic that Maria Kallas once used it to perform one of her many memorable concerts!\u00a0From there we will visit<strong>\u00a0Melissani Lake<\/strong>, \u00a0which is found in a cave with an unusual open roof-dome. At noon the water of the lake reflects the sun, so you will be able to experience a wealth of nature\u2019s colours while they row you through the cave by boats.<\/p><p class=\"spacerBottom20\">Next stop is\u00a0<strong>St. Efimia<\/strong>, a romantic village next to the sea. We will stay there about one hour for lunch in a beautiful tavern next to the sea.\u00a0After lunch we travel southwest towards the capital of Kefallonia,\u00a0<strong>Argostoli<\/strong>.
